We have an extensive DDU manual where we explain everything step by step in a way that makes it really simple. Step 2: Right-click the Nvidia Settings icon.
In this case, what we should do is uninstall the corresponding driver using DDU prior to downloading said driver, and then once the program has cleaned all the rest of the one that was installed and always without the active network card, be it Wi-Fi or Ethernet, then we will proceed to install the new driver. Step 1: Click on the small arrow pointing upwards on the system tray. Here is how you can do it: Open the Control Panel and go to Programs>Uninstall a program. Now, select the app type from the drop-down menu. See comments below for possible solutions. Note: The Display tab may not be available if you have Nvida Optimus hardware. Expand the Display menu, click Change Resolution, and then click Customize. On the right page, scroll down and click on the Graphics Settings link. Right-click the Windows Desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel from the context menu. Select the ‘Desktop’ option from the top menu and then tick both ‘ Add Desktop Context Menu’ and ‘Show. Alternatively, you can choose ‘Small icons’, it’s entirely up to you. In the Settings app, go to the System Display page. Once the Control Panel opens, go to the upper-right corner and change ‘View by’ to ‘ Large icons’. You can also search for Settings in the start menu too. Another method to have NVIDIA graphics card detected by Windows 10 is to update to the latest drivers. Open the PC Settings app by pressing the keyboard shortcut Win + I. Perhaps we are in a very old version of it and not compatible with this new option of the NVIDIA Control Panel. Right-click on the NVIDIA graphics card option and select enable. Likewise, the problems could come from the driver side, as the error points out. Maybe even update and modernize it, since this tool hasn’t received much of a change for many years.
For now we can only wait to see what NVIDIA continues to do with its drivers and Control Panel.
